We had our department chalet outing on this long weekend, and booked the chalet at aloha changi..we went for the one at loyang last year but they were fully booked for this year when we wanna make our booking..so chose the one at changi instead.
The chalet is big, but pretty run-down..and the location is very ulu too..
The exterior looks quite nice ya?..but the interior is rather old.. =pWe checked in around 4pm and after settling down, we started to have a few games of cards to pass time while waiting for our BBQ package to arrive..yup, we didn't prepare the food ourselves, got the package from those BBQ suppliers, which makes it so much more convenient..hehe
After the food (raw of course) came, we prepared to start the fire. That's my colleague hard at work, its all thanks to her we got a good fire to cook our food with =)

Some colleagues brought their kids along..and they are so excited to be there..haha..
This is 1 very active and chatty girl..very vain too..keke =p
Anyway, had 1 casualty during the BBQ, which is Yours Truly..while trying to help, I accidentally burnt myself with the wire mesh which was left on the fire for less than 10 secs!!..I was supposed to remove it from the fire for a while but I didn't get a good grip at the corner and it was about to fall when I instinctively brought up my right hand to catch it w/o thinking..and i got this.. T_T
Anyway, ran it under tap water and then applied toothpaste to it..and its healing now so its not very serious..i just hope it won't leave a scar..

Woke up around 10am, freshen up and went out for brunch at Changi Village..had their famous Nasi Lemak and fried carrot cake..the food's really good! =)
We planned to go for KTV in the afternoon, but since we still had some time left, headed back to the chalet to watch some DVDs my colleagues bought. Made our way to the Partyworld KTV at Loyang Point and sang our time away till 6.30pm..hehe..
We initially wanted to stay 2 nights at the chalet but most pple wanna go home on Sun leaving only me and another colleague to stay over..which is pretty scary with the ulu place and run-down chalet..so we decided to check-out that night after dinner.
After checking out, my manager gave me a lift home and I took the leftover cakes and ice-cream back with me while she took the rest of the tibits..hehe..
Was totally beat when I reached home..and when hubby (who went on a trip to Genting with his friends over the weekend) got home and saw my burn, he was really 心痛 about it..it warms my heart to see him caring so much about me..i promise to be more careful in future! =)
And we practically 'nua' at home on the 19th to rest up for the coming work day..hehe..Well, that's all for my updates..hehe.. =p

After the food, they prepared 2 cakes for me and another colleague whose birthdays fall in the month of May..1 chocolate cake from Awfully Chocolate and a mango cake from Angie's Choice..so sweet of them =D
