Great outing with the gals, but...

Met Erice and Weiling today to go on a trip to Marina Barrage..hehe..we even register for the free tour there, haha!..initially when we got there, the staff told us it's juz the 3 of us who registered for the tour...we were like 'erm, okay...' haha, so awkward lah..keke.. but subsequently a few tourists joined in so its not that weird liao..keke but we felt very 'touristy'..if u know what i mean..hahaa..

The weather was bright and sunny..well, abit too sunny till it burns lor.. >.< but ok lah, better than a wet weather..hehe..after the tour, went to the Gallery cafe for some food and drinks..was enjoying ourselves until the staff 'chased' us out to the outdoor area coz they are gg to have a function inside later =_=...anyway, finished our drinks and made our way out to take the bus back to the MRT station..the weather is really hot!! =p

Took the train to orchard coz the gals wanna go Borders as they have discount vouchers and wanna see if there's any books to buy, I didn't get anything coz I only like books from a particular author and he doesn't have any new release at the moment so better save the money..hehe

Walked over to Shaw House check out some shops and then headed over to 'The Ship' restaurant for their famous fish soup bee hoon. Got our seats and browsed through the menu, did not see the fish soup bee hoon on it, so decided to check with the waitress..sadly, their fish soup bee hoon is sold out for the day..and since we only wanna eat that, we decide to go somewhere else..but dunno how to leave..so we told one of the waitress that we only want to eat the fish soup bee hoon but it's sold out, so we will come again another day..then an elderly couple, which i assumed are the boss and wife, were pretty concerned seeing us preparing to walk out, but knowing the reason, the lady boss apologised and advised us to call next time so they can reserve the food for us..so nice..hehe =)

Made our way to Far East Plaza for dinner instead, went to this Jap eating place called 'Wasabi Tei' which the gals told me the boss is very fierce and tells customers off if they try to chop seats for their frens who have not arrived etc..think it's coz the place is very small lah, so not very fair for pple who are queuing outside if they allow customers to 'chop' seats..hehe..but the fierce boss wasn't around so i don't get to witness all the fierceness that they told me..keke..the food pretty good and we were very full after the meal =D

Walk around there to shop for Weiling's CNY clothes but nothing really caught her eye..went over to ION's Provence Bakery to get some bread for tmr's breakfast..as usual, their milk pan was sold out for the day, it's quite a hot-seller there..so ended buying 4 brazilian cheese buns and made our own way home.

Took the North-bound train home and half way through when the train was travelling from Toa Payoh to Braddell, there was a 'bang' sound which kinda startled most of the passengers..and when the train stopped at Braddell station, we were suddenly evacuated out of the train and were asked to clear the area for our own safety, saying that there was a fire..was unsure of the situation so i did not leave the platform immediately, stayed around hoping that it's juz a false alarm..but the burning smell tells me that its not..and the staff tried to make everyone leave the platform again. Called hubby up to tell him abt the situation and quickly call a cab while making my way out of the station, coz with so many pple stranded, don't think I'll be able to hail a cab that soon..sure enough, once on the street, there were alot of pple trying to get a cab, and my cab came within 10mins..luckily nothing major happened back there, i hope it's not anything too serious..

Anyway, I'm safely back home liao..so just thought I should update soon before i forget or get too lazy again..haha..

Enjoy your weekend! =)
