*phew* had been busy with the logistics for 2 company events which were happening back to back in KL for the whole of Sept..the 1st event was held on 01 - 02 Oct and the other on 04 - 05 Oct..so travelled to KL with 2 of my managers on Thur to help out with these 2 events.
These were joint events with our KL office so most of the logistics for the hotel and event venue are handled by our L&D colleagues in KL, so my job was much lessened since i do not need to deal with the hotel or convention centre people..but then, arranging the transport to KL for the executives can be very troublesome too, where pple just made last minute changes to their plans and disrupt the whole planning..well, there are even some who didn't bother to inform me at all..
Bought 2 pairs of heels from Vincci on Thur nite!!..i never fail to buy any shoes from them whenever i go to Malaysia..haha..their shoes are usually trendy & nice so I just couldn't resist..keke..moreover the price is about S$30 plus after conversion, how to resist? =p
Anyway, helped out with the 1st event which is 1.5days with registration, ushering, preparation of stuff etc..and met my aunt and her daughter who live in KL since I'm in the country =) We shopped at the megamall which is just beside the hotel i'm staying (so convenient!) till dinner time before she brought me to a good 'zhi char' place for dinner..she even brought me to a nearby pasar malam to shop for some local snacks..hehe..and went back to hotel at 10plus.
The next day on Sun, had breakfast with my manager at the hotel and bought the movie tickets at the cinema for Julia Roberts' new movie: 'Eat Pray Love' at night. Accompanied my manager to look for a new pair of comfy shoes as her heels were killing her..hehe..thereafter, met my aunt & cousin in the afternoon to more shopping!..hehe, she brought me to Sungei Wang and Timesquare as they have more shops there. Bought some tops, jackets, a pair of white heels and leather boots (50% off!)..at the end of the day, my money has depleted by about 80%..haha..
I usually don't buy so much when i shop here in S'pore..but i tend to go crazy when i'm in Malaysia, coz can't get them at these low prices back home mah, so..keke.. =x
For the next few days, controlled myself from spending coz don't wanna spend more than I should..and also coz don't think my luggage has space for anymore stuff liao..hehe =p
Had a great but tiring time coz our feet were tormented with all the walking as the convention hall was really huge, just walking to & fro can tired us out =_= but it was nice to get to know our KL colleagues better as we have only been communicating via emails and phonecalls, so its a good opportunity to know them better and to put a face to the name..hehe =)
Ok, with this event done, time to start planning for my taiwan trip in Nov!!..going with my mother, grandma and aunt..so looking forward to it!! =D
