Went to support my cousin and his band at the Music Dreamer Cafe aka 爱情海 last nite..it was 'the stage is yours' nite where bands and singers get to perform in the cafe, went there b4 to support a few friends sometime back and this time round its my cousin's band: X-Clef..hehe
They are actually a rock band which is very different from the cafe's usual style of performance but the boss was kind enough to let them have the chance to play. My cousin is the vocalist cum leader of the band, they started the band last July and struggled to get band members to play the various instruments, getting played out by pple who aren't as committed as them etc..glad that they managed to find and form the band now, juz a pity my cousin's getting enlisted for NS in Mar this year..well, hope they will be able to last and take part in the next 'Super band' when my cousin's out from NS!..haha =)
Anyway, back to last nite..basically everyone in the cafe was either a family or friend of the band members to show support, including my aunt & uncle. I must say, the parents of these youngsters are really supportive to be present for their performance, one of the members' parents even let out 1 room in their house juz for them to jam! Cool rite?..hehe..anyway, glad that my cousin & his friends get to do this performance, believe its a very meaningful and impt experience for them..though my cousin's voice wasn't in tiptop condition coz he lost his voice earlier in the day, think he's too stressed liao..hehe, but his voice managed to pull through for the whole 1.5hr performance. Took some video of his performance but not sure if the sound is ok, will try to upload if the sounds isn't too bad..hehe =)
