Went for one of my primary school friends' wedding on this day..The bride, Mary and the other: Soo Ting, are the only 2 primary school friends whom I still keep in touch and are closest with back then. We were basically lost-and-found friends as I went to a different secondary school and eventually lost contact when we shifted house and stuff. I happened to bumped into Soo TIng 4 years later after my O'levels doing part-time during the long holidays, who still keeps in contact with Mary as they went to the same sec school..am very glad that we still managed to find each other after losing contact for 4 years..hehe =)
Anyway, her wedding dinner was held at Mt Faber Safra Club's Pioneer Spring restaurant and I met up with Soo Ting to make our way to the place together..am familiar with the location as I used to work in that area for my previous job..hehe..reached the place around 7.10pm and there were quite a number of people at the reception area for the cocktail session. We went to check our table number, put our ang pows into the ang pow box and went in shortly as there wasn't anyone we know to chit-chat with..hehe
The place is very new as they have renovated it not too long ago so everything's in good condition..There are about 30+ tables in the ballroom and our table were at the side about 2/3 from the stage, as we were the 1st few to arrive, we get to choose seats that have a good view of the stage..hehe..
The food is really nice, i like most of them..esp the Asam fish and roasted chicken with crispy shallots which i find very unique and tasty!...hehe..i'm drooling as i recall the taste..haha..will recommend the restaurant to friends for their weddings or any other celebrations there..hee.. ;)
Left the place at about 10.30pm and took a photo with the pretty bride, but the photo is with my friend so can only post it when I get it from her..hehe..we shared a cab back as we were pretty tired alrdy and we lived in the same area..but we kinda regretted it when the cab-driver started to drive..he was jerking non-stop!!..and we were both so full from the dinner, imagine how horrible we were feeling throughout the whole trip! >.<
I think 15 Nov 2008 must have been a very auspicious date for weddings as there seemed to be alot of wedding banquets held on this day..besides my friend's, hubby's colleague, Soo Ting's colleague and my good friend's friend are all having their wedding banquets on that day!!..call me 'sua ku' but this is my 1st time to hear so many weddings to be held on the same day..hehe =p
