Day 0 - 1
Took the night flight at 11.25pm on ANA to Tokyo on my own and reached the Narita Airport around 7am..didn't get to sleep much on the overnite flight, not bcoz was busy watching movies on the in-flight entertainment..was actually quite suay coz think there was a technical malfunction and the in-flight system for my row of seats all cannot watch!! >.< Nothing much to do but couldn't sleep very well coz was kinda awkward with a stranger sitting next to you..@_@
Managed to pull through the nite..haha and was kinda shocked when I heard the announcement that the temperature was 4 degree celsius!!..I know it will be cold but not this cold!..was abt 12 - 16 degrees during my previous trip lor..was starting to wonder if I have brought insufficient clothes for the weather.. =_=''
Went through the immigration and settled at a corner with my luggage to wait for hubby to come and meet me - he was travelling from Tokyo to Narita Airport. I smsed him my location but somehow he didn't receive it and so he was looking around for me at the arrival hall while I was too caught up with my PSP game =x Anyway, we managed to find each other and then went to exchange for my JR Pass..hehe..Made seat reservations for the trains that we will need to take to Hiroshima and off we go!
Took us abt 6 hours to travel from Narita to Hiroshima - 1 hr from Narita to Tokyo; 3 hrs from Tokyo to Osaka; and 2 hrs from Osaka to Hiroshima..when at Hiroshima, we took some time to find the tram counter to buy the 2-days pass, so we finally reached the hotel (Hotel Active!) around 5pm...1st day mostly on travelling..heh

After settling down at the hotel, went out to explore the vicinity..had dinner at a nearby Sukiya which sells mostly udon and rice sets. We didn't stay out long coz the shops close pretty early, ard 8.30-9pm so we went back to our hotel when the shops close for the day. Had an early nite's rest since both of us didnt sleep well the previous nite - hubby was on an overnite bus from Nagoya back to Tokyo after catching a concert with his fren..
Day 2
Woke up early coz we are going to Miyajima (宮島) meaning the "Shrine Island". Had our breakfast in the hotel since its complimentary..pretty nice spread of food =)
Took the tram to the main ferry terminal and then a 10 mins' ride on the ferry. Once we stepped out of the ferry terminal, we saw deers sitting idly minding their on business..they aren't even afraid of pple when we got close to them to take photos, muz have gotten used to the human crowd..hehe..

Noticed a bridge in the shrine which looks really difficult to cross..
See? the arch is so steep..i wonder if anybody can cross it w/o holding onto the sides to climb up the arch..hehe =p

Day 2

We hiked all the way to take the ropeway aka cablecar up to Mt Misen which took us abt 20mins with our leisure speed..hehe
It was low tide during our trip so its all muddy ground, when its high tide the shrine will be surrounded by water

Shopped around the main shopping street before taking the ferry back, came across the world's largest spatula which is over 5 meters long..haha

By the time we finished dinner, the shops are more or less closed for the day, so headed back to the hotel to pack up our stuff for checking out the next day.
