Anyway, the number of photos we took is really nothing as compared to both kiyomi and ppm's..think we only have about 340 pics over our 13-day trip in Japan, not alot rite..keke..its coz both Kelvin & I aren't really the type who like to take photos much, and partly also coz i was too excited and forgot to take pictures sometimes..haha =p
27th March 2008 (Departing for Japan)
Took the Northwest Airlines to Japan, and as mentioned b4, the flight is at 6am in the morning. In the end I did sleep for a few hours and got up at 1am to wash up and get ready, while Kelvin stayed up the whole nite with his online gaming. We reached Changi T1 ard 4am and went for breakfast after checking in our luggage.

At the airport while waiting to board the plane
After we have boarded the plane and waiting, the pilot announced that the technicians found some fault with some nose-gear thingy and the flight is estimated to be delayed for an hour!..so we juz sat and waited, looking through the brochures & magazines in the front pouch, until we finally took off at abt 7am -_-
Overall, find Northwest Airlines' air stewardesses pretty ok, I wasn't given any attitude like what kiyomi encountered, guess i was lucky..keke..anyway, the food on board was really bad, we had mee goreng and the noodles were kinda hard, so I juz ate the side dishes and bread. Watched 2 shows which I didn't get to catch in the cinema - 'Cars' and 'Alvin & the chipmunks'..the chipmunks are so cute!..haha =)
Arrived at the Narita Airport at about 2.30pm Tokyo time, collected our luggage and went to look for the ticket counter to buy our train tickets for the Narita Express (NEX) to Tokyo. Walked in circles trying to find our way based on a map Kelvin got from the Internet, apparently the map doesn't seem to be updated, so asked for directions from the tourist information counter in the end..and we bought the package which includes a train ticket on NEX and a Suica card (which works like our EZlink card) for 3,500yen. Still had sometime until our train departure time so went to have lunch at the Subway within the airport..hehe..
The room has private bathroom attached to it and we took the small double room which costs 9,000 yen per nite, pretty alrite given the location and facilities. The toilet is really small, feels like those detachable kind..haha =p
Went out to explore and look for a place to have dinner after leaving our luggage in the hotel. The weather was really cold esp at nite, with the wind blowing..I always try to hide myself behind Kelvin whenever the wind is blowing..haha..came across quite a number of eateries along the streets but can't decide which one to go into, or rather, not sure how to order the food since we both can't speak Japanese..keke..finally came across a shop that has those vending machines, so we decided to go for this one since we can juz order the food based on the pictures on the machine..hahaa..

I had hamburger steak set while Kelvin had his fave again - curry rice, he says the gravy for this one tastes kinda like satay sauce..haha..overall the food's not bad and iced water is provided free flow..so cold still drink iced water -_-''..free one so better don't complain..hehe =p
After having filled our stomachs, walked around to explore the area more and came across many pretty handphones on display..
Their handphones there can be so pretty lor..how I wish I can buy one back but can't use here in S'pore leh..so sianz..why can't we have such pretty phones here too?..haiz -_-
Came across lots of vending machines on the way too, selling cigarettes, drinks and snacks like Kit Kat chocolate..the drinks look so interesting that they make you wanna buy them all rite?..haha
Besides vending machines, we also see alot of this 'Pachinko slot' shops which is like a pinball gameshop with rows & rows of pinball machines, everywhere we go in Japan..didn't take any pictures but you can find a pic of it in kiyomi's blog..hehe
Went back to the hotel to rest after getting some stuff from their local convenient shop - Family Mart, and that's the end of Day 1 for us =)
